Honey

Honey is a women’s Eau de Parfum launched by Marc Jacobs in July 2013, following in the footsteps of Dot. Annie Buzantian, a perfumer at Firmenich, pairs pear and mandarin with a heart of orange blossom, peach, apricot and honeysuckle; honey, vanilla and woods form the base. Its round bottle takes up Dot’s design in yellow and gold.

A round bottle in clear glass, topped with a clustered cap: a yellow ball with white dots, striped wings and a white pearl.

Honey takes up Dot’s bottle: a rounded, almost spherical body in thick, clear glass, slightly flattened at the base, revealing a pale honey-yellow liquid. The words HONEY and MARC JACOBS are set in widely spaced capitals on the front.

The cap forms a small assembly set on a neck circled with gold rings: a yellow ball scattered with white dots, oval elements striped in black and gold, and a pearly white bead. The house sees in them butterflies with yellow and black stripes; the 2013 press recognized a bumblebee.

Where Dot played on the red and black of the ladybug, Honey switches to yellow, white and gold, brighter colors that evoke honey.
