Violaine Collas now holds the position of senior perfumer within the company Mane. A graduate of ISIPCA in 2001, Mathilde Bijaoui was hired by the company Mane. Mathilde Bijaoui is inventive and likes to break away from convention. Loverdose Red Kiss opens on the gourmand character of fruits, namely blackcurrant and green apple, paired with bergamot for maximum freshness. Native to northern Europe, blackcurrant is the fruit of the blackcurrant bush. During the Renaissance, botanist Gaspard Bauhin referred to blackcurrant as a mouth fruit. It would nevertheless take until the 18th century for blackcurrant to be cultivated in France. The Côte d’Or remains the stronghold of blackcurrant, from which a liqueur and a cream famous the world over are made. In perfumery, blackcurrant is increasingly favored. It releases tonalities that are at once sweet, bitter, green and fruity. Then, the heart of Loverdose Red Kiss is as radiant as it is gourmand, combining orange blossom, apricot, roasted hazelnut and cocoa to leave behind a most addictive sillage. Native to China, the apricot tree has perfectly adapted to Mediterranean regions. It is estimated that apricot tree cultivation in France dates back to the 16th century. In the 17th century, the gardener of the Sun King fell in love with this fruit and carried out numerous plantings. In perfumery, the fruit note is obtained synthetically.
