REPLICA Sailing Day arrived in 2017 in Maison Margiela’s REPLICA collection, as an eau de toilette signed by Violaine Collas. It replays a day at sea off Paros in 2001: an aquatic accord of Calone and aldehydes at the top, coriander, iris and rose at the center, red seaweed and ambergris at the base.

Sailing Day joins the REPLICA line in September 2017, as an eau de toilette. Each perfume in the line carries a place and a date, like a garment label: here the island of Paros in 2001, where two bodies dive toward the infinite blue.

A day at sea

Violaine Collas signs the formula. The house puts into it the freshness of sea spray and wind on the face, the soft warmth of the sun on the back, communion with the ocean and the image of a sailboat heading for faraway lands.

It places the perfume among woody aquatics and intends it for women and men alike. Wikiparfum, for its part, classes it among aqueous florals, because of its heart of iris and rose.
