Light Blue Forever Pour Homme

Like a breath of Dolce Vita with the new fragrance from Dolce Gabbana: Light Blue Forever Pour Homme. The house of Dolce Gabbana has always been deeply attached to its Italian roots. It has therefore never missed an opportunity to honor them, particularly in its perfumes. This is how Light Blue was born in 2001, before being extended into a masculine edition in 2007.

Where to buy

Once again, in 2021, history repeats itself and a newcomer joins this famous collection. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana present Light Blue Forever pour Homme, a highly contrasted fragrance, between citrus freshness, an ozonic current and a woody sillage. So, what does this azure blue bottle conceal?

Like a breath of Dolce Vita in a bottle

If Dolce & Gabbana chose the color blue for its bottle, it is simply because this men's fragrance evokes the maritime air of southern Italy. Light Blue Forever pour Homme intends to bring a summery breath into the bathroom. This men's fragrance draws inspiration from the Italian roots of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and takes us, more precisely, into the heart of the island of Capri. With it, rugged landscapes stand alongside luxurious villas. The sea is dotted with yachts. Citrus groves refresh the sun-kissed air. Light Blue Forever pour Homme smells of summer and the Mediterranean.

Light Blue Forever pour Homme, between citrus freshness and a woody sillage

In terms of scent, for the very first time, Dolce & Gabbana calls on the talent of perfumer Shymala Maisondieu, who truly brings her signature to this olfactory collection. Light Blue Forever pour Homme opens with a very refreshing scent of cold-pressed grapefruit, paired with Italian bergamot. Then, violet leaves enrich the heart of this fragrance, blending with an ozonic breath that seems to emanate directly from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Finally, for more virility and persistence, Light Blue Forever pour Homme closes with a final musky and woody breath of patchouli and vetiver.

The Mediterranean bottle of Light Blue Forever pour Homme

Light Blue Forever pour Homme remains true to the aesthetic of the entire collection. Its bottle comes in two different sizes, 50 and 100 ml. It is both understated and masculine, combining classicism and modernity. Its silhouette is directly borrowed from its predecessors. It is a flask with a solid base, whose top is dressed in curves, as if to express all its sensuality. For the very first time, this glass case is dressed in azure blue. This is reminiscent of the blue waters of the Mediterranean, and more precisely those of the famous Blue Grotto of Capri. A few gold elements are also present, as if to illuminate the whole with a more sun-kissed, radiant touch.

Olfastory’s review

It all began in 2001, when the Dolce Gabbana brand decided to pay tribute to its origins by creating a feminine fragrance, the perfect embodiment of the Dolce Vita: Light Blue. Then, it took six years to see its masculine counterpart appear: Light Blue pour Homme. Today, the story opens a new chapter and a sun-drenched romance is being written into the narrative of men's perfumery. Dolce Gabbana once again honors its Mediterranean roots and presents Light Blue Forever pour Homme. Here is our review of this fragrance.
