For the creation of perfumes it naturally follows the same path, and Light Blue, released in 2007, is no exception to the rule. Like a concentrate of dolce vita, Light Blue takes us on a journey through the cool islands of the Mediterranean, offering citrus and gourmand breezes to one's heart's content. A true success in perfumery, the lightness and originality of the beautiful Light Blue have never been disputed.

Light Blue, or the Italian joy of living and loving…

As true ambassadors of Italian beauty and culture in the world of fashion, Dolce & Gabbana's designers do much more than glorify their roots; they have invented an entire style: la dolce vita. However, before becoming the source of inspiration for these talented couturiers, la dolce vita represented the entire culture of the great years of Cinecittà cinema, with its voluptuous heroines and its virile, dramatically handsome men...

By presenting the beautiful Light Blue fragrance as typically Italian, Dolce & Gabbana had already found the perfect subject for this ode to their roots. Thus the communication around Light Blue plays on the many dream images that Italy evokes. While the first two faces of the campaign for Light Blue were not Italian, Marija Vujovic and Anna Jagodzinska, they were both filmed by Mario Testino, who had them move through a paradisiacal setting worthy of the greatest Italian films.

Light Blue is therefore entirely and intimately linked to the azure setting of Sicily and Capri, but also deeply inspired by the delightfully retro and still much-loved works of Fellini and other renowned Italian filmmakers.

Evoking the long sunny days and sparkling nights of the summer months, this floral, fruity, fresh and colorful fragrance [Light Blue] pays tribute to the irresistible sensuousness of Mediterranean life, according to Dolce & Gabbana for Light Blue.

Dolce & Gabbana and Light Blue for feminine, ultra-glamorous citrus modernity

The Light Blue bottle hardly bothers with ostentatious femininity, preferring instead to play on the modernity of an imposing frosted glass. The bright blue cap brings all the light necessary to the bottle, recalling the pure, precious blue of the Italian Alps. The strength of Light Blue lies far more in its fragrance and in what it suggests than in any unnecessary display.

From the top notes, Light Blue offers a very fresh, sparkling opening of lemon combined with a powerful Sicilian cedar. The lovely note of granny smith apple, paired with bluebell, propels us into the elegant, opulent and refined nature of Sicily. At the heart, the delicacies of jasmine and white rose burst forth while unveiling a rather original fresh, green bamboo note. The woody depths of musk and amber envelop this beautiful, fresh floral with a sensual, charming note that is deeply Italian at the base!

Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana: the quintessence of the joy of living and of seduction, according to Dolce & Gabbana.
