Light Blue Eau Intense
While French women tend to be fairly composed, Italian women, by contrast, possess a fiery temperament. This is not necessarily a negative trait, quite the opposite in fact. It even allows them to utter words of love more easily.

Where to buy
How, then, can one resist the charm of a pretty brunette with the word amore on her lips? So, to pay tribute to this captivating femininity, Dolce & Gabbana decided to reinterpret one of its greatest fragrances. This one dates back to 2001 and is called Light Blue. Now it returns in a brand new version: Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme.
The Mediterranean recipe of Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme
As if to echo its predecessor, Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme comes in a rectangular bottle. This is worth noting, as it is quite rare for a feminine fragrance. Understated and simple, it perfectly captures the house of Dolce & Gabbana's taste for clean design. It is revealed through frosted glass evoking summer freshness. Its azure blue reflection seems to have been immersed in a clear sky. Inside lies a composition as airy as it is sensual, signed by perfumer Olivier Cresp. Renowned worldwide for his exceptional talent, he is also a lover of Mediterranean raw materials. He was, after all, born in Provence. What is more, his grandparents and parents already worked in the perfumery world and owned jasmine fields. It is therefore this ingredient that he chose to place at the center of Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme. It brings opulence to the fragrance. This noble flower is nonetheless accompanied by the freshness of lemon. A signature ingredient of Sicily, it lends this juice an incredible burst of dynamism. Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme also has a fruity facet resulting from an addition of Granny Smith apple. Its base, meanwhile, takes on a darker character. Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme contains amber woods and musk. The result is an absolutely irresistible sillage, at once carnal and seductive.
Dolce & Gabbana's resolutely Italian advertisement
All that remained was a face to embody this new fragrance. Dolce & Gabbana has already announced that it set its sights on the seductive Bianca Balti. An Italian model born in Milan, she is best known for her role as the Italian house's face. Discovered in a supermarket, she soon captivated the fashion world with her spellbinding charm. Her dark hair paired with her ice-blue gaze makes for an absolutely stunning combination. Having already posed for Dolce & Gabbana alongside Monica Bellucci in 2012, she will this time be joined by David Gandy. The two were fortunate enough to be photographed by one of the greatest fashion photographers of our time, Mario Testino. While the advertisement for Light Blue Eau Intense pour Femme has not yet been unveiled, it is already known that it will take place live from Capri.

The advertising
Vibrant tributes from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to their home country, Italy, the Light Blue fragrances are today among the house's best-sellers. They embody all at once: Mediterranean joie de vivre, a relaxing interlude between sky and sea, the benefits of the sun, seduction and sensuality. After winning over Europe and Asia in their classic version, these emblematic Dolce & Gabbana juices now return in Intense versions. Yet Light Blue Intense for men and for women would be nothing without an advertisement to convey their qualities.
Light Blue Intense, resolutely Italian fragrances
Light Blue Intense are fragrances conceived in the image of their predecessors. They embody all the power and audacity of Italy. In this instance, they rest on a powerful contrast between carnal sensuality and a fresh, incisive vivacity. Both open with a citrus accord. The feminine version of Light Blue Intense combines lemon and Granny Smith apple, while its masculine counterpart plays on a trio of mandarin, lemon and grapefruit. Light Blue Intense pour femmes then moves toward a floral heart built on jasmine. The men's version, meanwhile, combines the freshness of juniper with the salty character of a sea breeze. Finally, the two fragrances come together in their sillage, blending amber and musk for a particularly sensual result. Light Blue Intense pour femmes was created by Olivier Cresp. Light Blue Intense pour hommes is signed by Alberto Morillas.
Dolce & Gabbana puts everything on Bianca Balti and David Gandy
When it came to choosing faces for the campaign, Dolce & Gabbana did not wish to break new ground but preferred to opt for tried and tested figures. Indeed, Light Blue Intense is embodied by a duo of actors well known to the house, made up of Bianca Balti and David Gandy. As Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana explain: together, their eyes match the color of the water, that superb endless blue of the Mediterranean surrounding Capri. Looking at her makes one dream of diving into that refreshing water, of feeling the sun on one's skin, of feeling completely free, relaxed, at peace.
Dolce & Gabbana's advertising short film
The short film for the Light Blue Intense fragrances is set to the Italian soundtrack Parlami D'amore Mariù by Achille Togliani. It does not exceed 45 seconds but is absolutely stunning in its beauty. The shots are highly poetic, showcasing both the beauty of David Gandy's and Bianca Balti's bodies and that of the Mediterranean landscapes. It all begins with the sight of the English model's muscular body. After leaping from a cliff, he joins the seductive Bianca peacefully sunbathing amid the waves. The two then fall into a carnal embrace… The closing shot comes, however, far too soon for our liking. No matter, perhaps more will be seen on the occasion of the release of the next flankers of these already cult fragrances…
