Infusion de Cèdre

Prada and its masculine scent of iris and cedar. After giving rise to the fragrance Infusion d'Iris in 2007, the house of Prada wasted no time developing its worthy successor. Thus Infusion d'Iris Cèdre was created. Far from any trends, this juice belongs to the Infusions collection by Prada.

Infusion Iris Cèdre, or the ultimate sophistication of a masculine-feminine fragrance

Les Infusions de Prada were born with the magnificent Infusion d'Iris, introduced in 2005 by Daniela Andrier. A small gem of perfumery that plays with reworking classic materials, Infusion d'Iris draws us into its supremely refined yet remarkably modern coils. Success was immediate, and neither the designer nor the perfumer could stop there… Infusion d'Homme, Infusion de fleur d'oranger and Infusion de Vétiver followed. The purpose of the collection is simple: to offer the best of each signature ingredient by revealing its many facets, both retro and innovative.

But Les Infusions de Prada are also something of a snub to the commercial stereotypes of our time. Daniela Andrier works without a brief or testing; the sole aim of each Infusion is to stir emotion while beautifully blending past and present, masculine and feminine.

This blending of genders is thus strongly represented in Infusion d'Iris Cèdre, which on the one hand casts vetiver and a retro iris in a new light, and on the other is intended for both women and men alike, without distinction. A bold bet, but a winning one, as Infusion d'Iris Cèdre has once again managed to win over everyone's heart.

Opposed to masculine/feminine stereotypes, Les Infusions de Prada venture beyond current fragrance trends […]. Prada, on Les Infusions.

The surprising meeting between a cedar note and a powdery Prada iris flower

Daniela Andrier is a perfumer far more interested in the quality of olfactory raw materials and their expression in a fragrance than in any marketing concept; the idea is clear. Yet Les Infusions de Prada drive perfume lovers utterly wild with passion for these bottles, so skillfully do they excel in the art of pairing novel notes with older ones, such as the famous iris flower or vetiver, a traditional element of masculine fragrances for decades.

The fresh and lively opening of Infusion d'Iris Cèdre is fairly classic thanks to its very present citrus notes. However, galbanum and aldehydes lend an intense and original power to these fresh top notes. At the heart, neroli flower appears like a blazing sun, better linking the freshness of the opening to the sensual darkness of the depths. Indeed, we quickly plunge from the flower into the mysterious woods of vetiver, cedar and incense. The beautiful iris then lends its powdery, downy light to these woody depths.

A distinctive and unexpected interpretation of iris, Iris Cèdre plays on the delicate balance between notes of iris, neroli, cedar, vetiver, incense and benzoin. Prada, on Infusion Iris Cèdre.
