Le Male In The Navy
Le Male by Gaultier enlists in the navy in 2019! Since the takeover of the Jean-Paul Gaultier house by the Spanish group Puig, the house has clearly shown its intention to refocus on its cult fragrances, namely Le Classique for women and Le Male for men.

Where to buy
It is precisely this masculine fragrance that is now being celebrated. Released in a Le Male In The Navy edition, it displays a darker look than before, perfectly matched to a scent that is more intense and virile than ever. So, what does this new sailor look like? With this fragrance, Jean-Paul Gaultier seems to reaffirm the power of his perfumery, playing on a lively and intense register.
Le Male In The Navy, a powerful, oceanic breath
To create this new juice, Jean-Paul Gaultier brought together two world-renowned perfumers known for their unique expertise: Quentin Bisch and Nathalie Gracia Cetto. Both chose to craft a fragrance entirely devoted to the maritime world. The aquatic note is thus present throughout the composition of Le Male In The Navy. At first very fresh, it pairs with a spicier peppermint. This is what gives the fragrance its dynamism and flair. Then, the heart of Le Male In The Navy turns somewhat salty, while retaining its freshness. From there, this fragrance seems to come straight from the ocean. Vanilla in turn warms the whole, underscoring the sensuality of the Jean-Paul Gaultier man. Finally, Le Male In The Navy closes with the presence of ambergris, a small residue from the sperm whale that takes on its scent and solid form as it drifts through the sea. Le Male In The Navy is anything but lacking in character and comes across as a sexy embodiment of the sailor, enough to make more than one woman's heart flutter!
Jean-Paul Gaultier's sailor shirt darkens
Like the whole Le Male collection by Jean-Paul Gaultier, Le Male In The Navy comes in a bottle shaped like a tin can. It displays a sculptural, highly athletic silhouette. Its sides have now darkened into a particularly deep midnight blue. By contrast, the Jean-Paul Gaultier sailor shirt clearly stands out from the rest of this visual, thanks to its bright white color. Le Male In The Navy is presented in a cylindrical midnight blue box. True to Jean-Paul Gaultier's self-deprecating spirit, this packaging is nothing other than a tin can, an unusual element in the world of luxury! The box is decorated with several timeless, slightly retro attributes, as if straight out of the 1950s. Two sailors arm-wrestle, while a pin-up sits on a ship's rope. Without a doubt, the voyage promises to be festive!
