Oud Eau de Parfum

Oud appeared in spring 2012, at a time when this wood had established itself across much of niche perfumery. Francis Kurkdjian, cofounder of the house bearing his name, makes the oud wood of Laos the main raw material of an eau de parfum.

The perfumer described his Oud as a marble palace chiseled with gold beneath a dark blue night strewn with stars, between the sand of the dunes and the warm wind of the harmattan. He considered it a charismatic character within his palette.

The house now describes it as a pure mystery, a spicy amber that is at once masculine and feminine. It states that Francis Kurkdjian chose an oud produced according to fair and sustainable trade principles.

An OUD collection

Oud gives its name to a collection from the house, which also includes an extrait de parfum. The Oud Satin Mood and Oud Silk Mood, where oud meets rose, form separate lines.
