Launched worldwide in 2012, La Petite Robe Noire was not born that year. Delphine Jelk had composed it in 2009 for Guerlain boutiques only, at a time when she did not yet work for the house. Thierry Wasser reworked the formula before its wide release. Built around an accord of black cherry, almond and licorice laid over a rose, the eau de parfum brought the gourmand into Guerlain, and divided critics from its release.

In fact, the bottle of La Petite Robe Noire reinterprets one of Guerlain's bottles from the early twentieth century. It is thus a true historical testament to the brand, drawn from the heritage of one of the oldest French houses. Its visual is inspired more precisely by the bottles of L'Heure Bleue and Mitsouko. Indeed, the curve of its shoulders is exactly the same. Its cap, meanwhile, also takes the shape of an inverted heart. All of Guerlain's original attributes are there, while offering a more contemporary style.
A bottle designed by Serge Mansau
To design this bottle, the Guerlain house called on one of the most talented and prolific designers of his generation: Serge Mansau. A sculptor and true artist, he has shaped more than 50 years of perfumery on his own, crafting around 650 bottles for the world's greatest luxury brands. All of his creative genius can therefore be found in the bottle of La Petite Robe Noire.
