Once again, it is perfumer Danièla Andrier who composed La Femme Absolu. While she works for the company Givaudan, Danièla Andrier has composed almost all of the fragrances for the house Prada. Born in Heidelberg, Danièla Andrier came to France at the age of 15. For her, fragrance is the offspring of childhood memories. She states that fragrance is a common thread. She remembers all the fragrances of her grandmother and her mother. Her aunt wore 19 by Chanel, a very refined scent that for her evoked autumn leaves. Fragrance accompanies our present like a little tune, and it must be powerful enough to leave a trace after our death. Highly talented, Danièla Andrier is above all very intuitive and particularly admires Miuccia Prada. The fire of La Femme Absolu Prada
The composition takes flight on an unlikely yet highly dynamic pairing, combining blood orange, peach and chili pepper. Peach originates from Southern China. It first reached Persia, before arriving in Arabia, Mesopotamia and Egypt. It would take until the 16th century for it to be cultivated in Europe. Peach was a prized fruit at the heart of the gardens of Versailles, where some forty varieties could already be found! In perfumery, the peach note is highly prized. However, since it is not possible to extract an essential oil from peach, the note is reproduced in the laboratory, mainly from the molecule gamma-undecalactone. Peach offers sweet, fruity, juicy and apricot-like tonalities. The heart of La Femme Absolu is intended to be floral and intense, combining immortelle, neroli, broom and orange blossom. In 1680, Marie-Anne de La Trémoille, Princesse des Ursins also known as Princess of Nerola, was enamored with a fragrance with which she filled her bath with these flowers in order to perfume her body. She also used immoderate quantities to scent her clothes, her gloves and the decorations of her Roman palace. As she entertained Italian society, this fragrance emblematic of the Princess of Nerola quickly became fashionable in Rome, and the name Neroli was adopted to designate the essential oil of bitter orange blossom. In perfumery, neroli gives off floral, sweet and luminous tonalities. Finally, the base of the composition is meant to be ultra sensual thanks to the presence of vanilla and tolu balsam.
