World Intense

The sweet and feminine recipe of Kenzo World Intense embodies the renewal of the Kenzo house. This huge launch managed to surprise us, both through its bottle and its communication. Admit it, were you not intrigued by its wild advertisement and its look of an eye decorated with a gold pearl?

Kenzo World, released in 2016, managed to stir up conversation in our fragrance world by offering an original and floral fragrance while standing out with an explosive and offbeat advertising campaign. From its very first year, the surprising Kenzo World proved a genuine success, and it is likely that its lovely vanilla descendant from 2017, Kenzo World Intense, will follow the same path to glory, built as it is on unprecedented and bold scents.

Kenzo World Intense: the unexpected gourmand character of Francis Kurkdjian and Maia Lernout

Kenzo fragrances had until then been symbols of poetry, romance, and delicate floral scents at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Jeu d'Amour had already somewhat disrupted the balance of the Flower fragrances and other olfactory marvels, but the creation by Francis Kurkdjian, Kenzo World, would go even further...

Indeed, the two new artistic directors of the Kenzo house, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, above all wanted to surprise with a fragrance that would break away from the usual codes of the Kenzo house. They asked Francis Kurkdjian to innovate while preserving the identity of the founder of the Kenzo house. In the very first fragrance, Kenzo World, jasmine and peony flowers were showcased through the sensual animalic qualities of ambroxan.

As for Kenzo World Intense, the beautiful flowers of Kenzo World are wrapped in deliciously gourmand notes, this time under the direction of two perfumers, Francis Kurkdjian and Maia Lernout. The two creators already know each other, having composed Rose Extase for Nina Ricci together; they would once again prove their combined and complementary talents through this thoroughly surprising Kenzo World Intense.

With Maïa, our creative partnership is total. The collaboration came naturally, inspired by the duo formed by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon [Kenzo's artistic directors]. La Dépêche, Francis Kurkdjian for Kenzo World Intense.

When the amber floral fragrance becomes a vanilla floral, it is called Kenzo World Intense

We designed a new olfactory accord. It takes up the fundamentals of the Kenzo World Eau de Parfum, which we radically intensified with the duo of black plum and intense vanilla, to assert a new story. La Dépêche, Francis Kurkdjian for Kenzo World Intense.

Make no mistake, Kenzo World Intense is the scented portrait of a strong and determined woman; all the ingredients therefore play on their power to offer her a fragrance worthy of her temperament. Plum opens Kenzo World Intense on fruity but also intensely syrupy notes that create a mysterious atmosphere from the start. Then the heart lights up with the jasmine and rose beauties emblematic of Kenzo World, blending better into an unprecedented vanilla sillage that gives Kenzo World Intense a chiaroscuro gourmand character, intensely feminine and totally offbeat.

Kenzo World Intense is at least as original as its predecessor Kenzo World. It loses its original amber to better nestle into gourmand scents of rare olfactory power, making it a luminous floral fragrance that is also very mysterious.
