Le Sel d’Issey Parfum

Published

Le Sel d’Issey Parfum is the third chapter, in parfum concentration, of Issey Miyake’s Le Sel d’Issey line, released in 2026 and signed by Quentin Bisch. The house describes it as woody, marine and leathery: a salt accord and a saffron accord meet marine seaweed and dark woods, over a base of amber accord and oakmoss, in a bottle with a dark brown gradient.

Eddie Bulliqi sees it as a new Quentin Bisch classic, the strangest and most tense of the three Sel d’Issey: a spicy seaweed cream, saffron-tinged, with a dry leather, which he considers very accomplished.

What critics say

A spicy seaweed cream

Eddie Bulliqi, a Fragrantica columnist, ranks the fragrance among Quentin Bisch’s classics and finds his auteur style increasingly recognizable. Of the three Sel d’Issey, it is for him the strangest and most tense: a spicy seaweed cream deepened with an edible oud oil.

He describes a dry leather accord, slightly animalic and nutty, and a fruity, tea-like saffron over a warm, buttery woody base. He finds a more harmonious balance than in previous versions and praises fine work from the perfumer.
