The ambition: to bring together two symbols of fleeting beauty—the wild flower that resists everything and the red fruit that lasts only a moment—to compose a signature that is at once joyful, sensual and resolutely contemporary.

To create Cherry Poppy, Alberto Morillas and Honorine Blanc-Epinette imagined a sensory crescendo in three acts. First the pulpy burst of a bigarreau cherry that bursts like a smile; then the petal transparency of a poppy modernized by a touch of icy blackcurrant; finally the cocoon softness of a vanilla-infused almond milk that prolongs the pleasure on the skin. The result: a luminous, comforting fruity-floral fragrance, designed to trigger an instant feel-good effect.
The notes in detail
1. Top: juicy cherry, sorbet-style
The opening pairs a cherry sorbet accord—obtained by combining a CO2 sour cherry extract and a captive “cherry pulp” note—with green mandarin zest. This mandarin, freshly pressed then distilled at low temperature, acts as a vitamin-charged flash that awakens the gourmand character without weighing it down. A few aldehydic molecules add a sparkling “soda bubbles” effect, recalling a red mocktail served on a summer terrace.
2. Heart: poppy petals & frosted blackcurrant
The mythical poppy accord—Flower's signature—reveals itself here airier than ever. Morillas adds a Damascena rose picked at dawn for its rosy facet, while Blanc-Epinette introduces a frosted blackcurrant, recreated from blackcurrant bud and a “crushed ice” note with menthol-raspberry accents. Together they deliver the sensation of translucent petals dusted with powdered sugar, as when biting into a fruit still fresh with dew.
3. Base: almond milk, vanilla and cottony musks
For longevity, the perfumers rely on a slightly praline-tinged sweet almond milk, blended with a bourbon vanilla pod with caramel-woody facets.
