By Man Re-Edition 1997 brings back in 2026 the men’s fragrance Dolce & Gabbana launched in 1997, in its zebra-print bottle. The formula is by Alberto Morillas. Nutmeg and black pepper open the composition, lavender and mugwort form its heart, and amber and guaiac wood its base: a spicy amber, sold in a 100 ml bottle.
By Man Re-Edition 1997 opens on nutmeg and black pepper, two dry spices. Lavender and mugwort form an aromatic heart with a herbal accent, and amber and guaiac wood hold a warm base with a slightly smoky character.
The re-edition names only these six materials and ranks among the spicy ambers.
What the label declares
The ingredient list published by the house mentions a lavender oil, lemon and bitter orange peel oils, a spearmint leaf oil, a cinnamon bark oil and a geranium flower oil. Coumarin and vanillin also appear.
What stays out
The 1997 composition counted more materials: sandalwood, leather and tobacco held its base alongside amber and guaiac. None of the three returns in the 2026 version.
