Louis Vuitton launched Cœur Battant in 2019. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud seeks in it the flutter of a first date, with a bright pear, a sunny jasmine and a sensual ylang-ylang deepened by patchouli, with ambrette and narcissus as counterpoint. The fragrance takes the bottle Marc Newson designed for the house, refillable in store.

Jacques Cavallier Belletrud opens Cœur Battant on a pear accord the house wants bright, a fruit you bite into wholeheartedly. Ambrette, the seed with a vegetal musk, accompanies it from the start.

The heart rests on jasmine, which the house calls sunny, and on ylang-ylang, sensual, for a feeling of soft opulence. Narcissus joins them, and patchouli, which the house counts among the key notes, gives depth to this bouquet.

At the launch, the house also cited Cascalone, a molecule with a marine effect, and a moss in the base. It speaks of a fragrance with an assertive character, between freshness and sensuality.

What the label declares

The list published by Louis Vuitton names, after alcohol, fragrance and water, benzyl salicylate, linalool, hydroxycitronellal, citronellol, hexyl cinnamal and geraniol, ahead of two ultraviolet filters that protect the juice.

It also includes triethyl citrate, an antioxidant, benzyl benzoate, farnesol, benzyl alcohol, citral, methyl heptine carbonate with its green violet-leaf note, eugenol and isoeugenol with their spicy accents, and three colorants, red, yellow and violet.
