Chloé Absolu de Parfum was released in 2017, as a limited edition, for the tenth anniversary of Chloé Eau de Parfum. Michel Almairac, who created the original, reinforces its Damask rose with an absolute of centifolia rose from Grasse, rounds it with vanilla absolute and gives it character with a touch of patchouli. The house describes it as a woody floral, richer and more textured than its predecessor.
Two roses
The house places Damask rose in the top notes, as in the Eau de Parfum, while increasing its intensity and depth. An absolute of centifolia rose from Grasse doubles it in the heart, alongside patchouli; vanilla absolute holds the base with its round, velvety facets.
Michel Almairac thus keeps the axis of Chloé Eau de Parfum, Damask rose, and thickens it with denser materials: a second rose absolute, vanilla and patchouli, which the house says adds character.
What the label declares
The ingredient list declares, after alcohol, fragrance and water, four UV filters that protect the juice from light, six regulated allergens, including hydroxycitronellal, geraniol and citronellol, and three colorants.
