Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum extends the 2010 Eau de Toilette in 2014, under the signature of the same perfumer, Jacques Polge. Chanel makes it a more sensual aromatic-woody fragrance, with ambery and musky notes, in which ambery cedar meets New Caledonian sandalwood and tonka bean, in the deep blue bottle that gives the line its name.

New Caledonian sandalwood
Sandalwood holds the base of the composition. Chanel makes it the signature of the entire Bleu line, a warm, sensual wood that shapes each of its interpretations, from the Eau de Toilette to the Parfum.
The launch structure
At its launch in 2014, Chanel described a broader structure: the freshness of Sicilian mandarin and lemon at the opening, aromatic notes of cedar and Haitian vetiver, and a base of warm amber, vanilla, Venezuelan tonka bean and New Caledonian sandalwood. Today the house names only cedar, sandalwood and tonka bean.
What the label declares
After alcohol, fragrance and water, the label declares the allergens limonene, linalool, citronellol, alpha-isomethyl ionone, citral, coumarin and geraniol, an oak moss extract, benzyl benzoate, farnesol, benzyl alcohol and three colorants.
