Rendez-Vous Ivory unfolds in three stages: at the top, green mandarin and an orange blossom accord; at the heart, a marshmallow accord; at the base, Madagascar vanilla and musk.

Green mandarin, which the house presents as a super essence, and orange blossom carry the opening. Marshmallow is not a material here but an accord, which Valentino describes as fluffy and meant to soften the freshness of the citrus.

In the house’s American presentations, the fragrance opens on both the orange blossom accord and the marshmallow accord, drowned in a fluffy musk and Madagascar vanilla. Green mandarin appears as an additional note.

Of its eighteen components, the ingredient list declares, among others, benzyl salicylate, hydroxycitronellal, linalool, methyl anthranilate, which smells of orange blossom, coumarin and cinnamyl alcohol, and no colorant.
