Aqua Allegoria Rosa Verde

A green rose, fresh as a summer dive Aqua Allegoria Rosa Verde is the 2025 edition that enriches the famous garden collection signed by Guerlain, originally launched in 1999. True to the feel-good spirit of the Aqua Allegoria line, this unisex Eau de Toilette captures the sensation of diving into fresh water, where the rose petal is still beaded with dew.

A green dew, between crisp fruit and aquatic freshness

With Rosa Verde, Guerlain orchestrates an unprecedented dialogue between the juiciness of chilled cucumber and the delicacy of a still-green rose. From the first spray, the fragrance evokes a dive into spring water hemmed with translucent petals: an effect praised by critics for its immediate clarity. This transparency initiates a sensory journey that continues with the fruity sweetness of nashi pear and concludes on a cushion of immaculate white musks.

Pyramid of notes

Top notes: instant vegetal freshness

- Chilled cucumber: chosen for its “aromatic water” quality that recalls the crispness of a freshly cut slice.
- Nashi pear: brings a watery fruit facet, more translucent than a classic Williams pear, softened by a touch of Calabrian bergamot.

Heart notes: the rose dresses in chlorophyll

- Green rose: extracted through fractional distillation to preserve its herbaceous, dewy nuances that evoke morning dew.
- Mint leaves: a chlorophyll-tinged breath that heightens the sensation of a damp garden.

Base notes: musky muslin

- White musks: selected for their crystalline cleanliness, offering a soft sillage that extends the freshness up to six hours.
- Iris & violet: light powdery touches, almost imperceptible, meant to round out the whole without sacrificing transparency.

Creative approach

The house perfumers describe Rosa Verde as a rose diving into a glass of ice water. To achieve this, they chose a Centifolia rose absolute lightened of its honeyed facets, then “greenified” it with a cucumber–mint accord calibrated through headspace analysis. The result: a clear projection, never sweet, perfectly consistent with the Aqua Allegoria DNA.

Naturalness & sourcing

More than 90% naturally derived ingredients, French beet alcohol, and glass incorporating 20% recycled material: Guerlain continues its CSR roadmap, begun with Nerolia Vetiver and Flora Salvaggia.

Innovation: the fashionable “rose-cucumber” breath

The rose–cucumber accord is part of the 2024-2025 trend for “water garden” pairings, already explored by certain niche houses; Guerlain here brings it to mainstream selective distribution, offering an alternative brighter than gourmand roses and greener than powdery bouquets.
