With Angel, composed by Olivier Cresp, Thierry Mugler offered a first fragrance that was revolutionary both in its gourmand notes and in its communication. With Alien, released ten years later and composed by the great Dominique Ropion, Thierry Mugler reaffirmed its place in perfumery with an original and highly feminine fragrance. The beautiful Alien would don beautiful garments of light as the years went by, and in 2014 Dominique Ropion would design the most airy version yet of this fragrance with Alien Eau Extraordinaire.

Thierry Mugler is a man who loves to surprise and take us into his world of magic and dreams, through original and poetic couture collections as well as through rare and unprecedented fragrances. The least one can say is that Angel managed to surprise us with its gourmand notes born from the imagination of Olivier Cresp, and the least one can say is that ten years later, originality would still be the order of the day with Alien!

Thierry Mugler wanted a world apart, one that would make us imagine another world, a world where light would reign and where woman would be goddess. Dominique Ropion, for his part, composed Alien with a magnificent sambac jasmine that plunges by turns into freshness and into warm, enveloping cashmeran notes.

Alien quickly won over a wide female audience, who would discover, year after year, other beautiful variations of this fragrant goddess with Alien Eau de Toilette or Alien Essence Absolue. Thus in 2014, Alien was illuminated with a new lightness for Alien Eau Extraordinaire, with its tangy flights and its flowers from paradisiacal islands where light reigns...

In order to carry us into the intense light of the so precious goddess of Alien Eau Extraordinaire, Dominique Ropion thus modified Alien's original composition to offer her the sun. A sun symbolized by more intense citrus notes but also by tiare, neroli and ylang-ylang flowers, deeply symbolic of far-off lands that make us dream of sea and sun in abundance. Could Alien Eau Extraordinaire be a fragrance that plunges us into sun-drenched vacations? It is quite possible.

For the beautiful Alien Eau Extraordinaire opens on citrus notes far more complex and powerful than the original juice. Mandarins, but also bergamots, lemons and limettas form a tangy, light opening. At heart, the opulent, solar flowers of tiare, neroli and ylang-ylang soften Alien's emblematic jasmine note to give it sunlight in abundance. A touch of black pepper is added to this Alien Eau Extraordinaire to make it livelier and sharper. Finally, Alien's sensual depths remain in this Alien Eau Extraordinaire, bringing warmth and sensuality to these sun-kissed freshnesses as if come from another world...
