Spicebomb, a fragrance with an explosive note. While some fragrances are designed to be delicate and go almost unnoticed, other creators, on the other hand, opt for more character and opulence. In this case, discretion does not seem to clearly be to the taste of the house Viktor & Rolf! Each of the house's fragrances is made to turn heads.
In 2012, Viktor & Rolf presents Spicebomb, an explosive masculine fragrance that follows the success of Flowerbomb, the feminine bomb. Like the brand, Flowerbomb aims to be offbeat, upending the classic codes of current fashion. Indeed, Viktor & Rolf state that Spicebomb possesses an explosive personality and an extraordinary character. Between strength and softness, between intensity and subtlety. Strong and virile, the Spicebomb man remains no less seductive...
The bomb created by Olivier Polge
Just before joining the house Chanel, Olivier Polge, the son of the highly talented Jacques Polge, collaborated with Viktor & Rolf. He created Flowerbomb and Spicebomb. Olivier Polge was only 4 years old when his father was named in-house perfumer of the house Chanel, and states that in a way, he was more or less nurtured in that world. His mother always wore creations in development, and fragrance had a unique place for them. When asked where he finds his talent, he replies that a painter feeds on painting the way a perfumer feeds on fragrances. After the enormous success of Flowerbomb, Viktor & Rolf came back to him asking him to create the same bomb in a masculine version! Among the Polges, one must believe that talent runs in the family...
Spicebomb, a dynamite of spices
Spicebomb is considered a sensual masculine bomb that embodies a mysterious and charismatic man. Spicebomb truly resembles an explosion of spices. The composition takes flight on the ultra-fresh notes of bergamot and grapefruit. This carries us toward an explosive heart, where cold spices and warm spices collide in a true explosion of flavors. The heart harmoniously combines elemi, pepper, chili pepper, pink pepper, and saffron, for the greatest pleasure of our sense of smell! The base is warm and oriental and of undisguised virility, as it combines leather accords with tobacco accords, oriental notes and vetiver, the masculine ingredient par excellence. Of course, the bottle is nothing other than a miniature bomb. The grenade displays very masculine colors, metallic gray and black. The Viktor & Rolf seal is attached to the spray like a detonator... To experience all the sensations of Spicebomb, one simply needs to pull the detonator...
In order to offer men their own bomb, Viktor & Rolf decided to create Spicebomb. A true explosion of spices, Spicebomb astonishes as much as it seduces. Between fresh notes, warm spices and cold spices, Olivier Polge's composition is revolutionary.
