The oriental fragrance of Berdoues's Collection des Grands Crus

The Collection des Grands Crus by Berdoues is an assemblage of perfumes whose origins come from the four corners of the globe. However, their distinctiveness does not stop there. Indeed, these products are all packed with the finest ingredients on the planet. After all, not just any wine is named Grand Cru. Berdoues therefore sends its perfumers to the four corners of the globe to select the finest raw materials. They ensure that each one is harvested with care. Then, all that remains is for them to let their expertise speak and blend multiple facets to immerse us in a distant world. Oud Al Sahraa, for its part, comes from Arabic. Its name literally means Oud of the desert. Thus, Berdoues offers a total immersion at the heart of the Orient. This is a fragrance with a very pronounced character, almost as powerful as it is bewitching, and as such can satisfy the desire of men as much as that of women.

The escapist scent of the Oud Al Sahraa perfume

It is to perfumer Christian Vermorel that we owe this olfactory journey. He chose to orient his formula around oud wood from Malaysia. He explains that the resin of oud wood has become the playground of perfumers. It is a raw material of great rarity, he says, and a privilege to be able to elevate it. Oud Al Sahraa is an invitation to a bewitching Orient, it reveals an enveloping and subversive sillage with warm, woody notes. Thus, Oud Al Sahraa contains this rare ingredient that emanates from the wood of certain trees when they are attacked by a fungus. Moreover, obtaining oud wood proves to be a very long and complicated process. That is why it is an ingredient that sells for its weight in gold. Here it is paired with myrrh from Namibia, an aromatic resin prized by perfumers for its sensuality. Here it reveals its amber, anise-like and syrupy charm. Finally, mandarin from Italy, for its part, brings a more fruity facet. Its sweet and tangy flesh gives the whole composition a genuine burst of dynamism. Everything is housed in the case faithful to the entire Collection des Grands Crus. It takes a rectangular shape evoking the old Eau de Cologne bottles. However, it is covered with multiple colors and arabesques. Thus, the journey of this perfume passes certainly through its scents, but it is also conveyed through its visual.
