While the Chloé haute couture house has enjoyed tireless success since the 1950s, the famous label took time to establish itself in perfumery. Although Chloé created an eponymous perfume as early as 1975, and then Narcisse and Innocence, these two magnificent creations did not raise the house to the rank of perfumery star. With the pretty, retro-chic Chloé and the talent of Michel Almairac, that was achieved in 2008. How, then, could one imagine that the beautiful label with its legendary draping would part ways with the very person who created its long-awaited best-seller?
Michel Almairac is precisely the one referred to as the perfumer of fashion houses, the nose called upon to give a label an olfactory identity. By giving three magnificent perfumes to the Chloé house, the creator rose to the challenge. Yet one significant challenge remained: offering a younger and more accessible version of these beautiful fragrances. Luminous and cheerful, See by Chloé would once again prove the master's success.
For See by Chloé is not entirely dressed in “roses”. It is at once different and complementary, and above all represents the daughter of the previous Chloé perfumes. Naturally, Michel Almairac drew on this brief to compose for the young woman a creation that would combine bucolic scents with elegant, chic accords such as an apple tree in bloom in a Parisian garden.
The lightness of this stroll through the springtime streets of Paris is heightened by the tangy notes of bergamot, lemon and mandarin, accentuated by the power of aldehydes. Then juicy apples and pears offer themselves to this See by Chloé like a basket of freshness, surrounded by a magnificent bouquet of jasmine and rose flowers, typically Chloé of course! Finally, vanilla, white musks and sandalwood give the beautiful young woman a feminine and sensual sillage.
