In 2021, the Cartier house created a new assortment of three unisex fragrances: the Rivières de Cartier. This new saga is described as baths of nature, depicting three different river landscapes, each infused with the scent of all the elements it encounters. Rivières Allégresse is a joyful, radiant stream, unfolding a floral sensuality through the presence of tuberose. It is a Rivières that expresses a gentle, serene joy, bathed in floral vegetation where one discovers a delicate tuberose and very green facets. But what about its bottle? Let us break it down.
A very green composition contained in a yellow bottle!
Rivières Allégresse de Cartier is part of a trio and is described as the most plant-like and green fragrance in the entire collection. Yet, as surprising as it may seem, it comes in a yellow bottle. Cartier's choice is quite surprising. However, this color gives this fragrance an infinitely sun-kissed, luxurious character. It suits perfectly the joyful, spontaneous character of this fragrance. Undeniably, this is a carefree river bathed in light. Intended for a gentle, serene person, this composition is dusted with soothing, radiant notes. And all of this shows through in the visual of its bottle.
A glass case more respectful of the planet
As you will have understood, just like its two companions, Rivières Allégresse de Cartier is a fragrance deeply inspired by nature. Through the Rivières collection, Cartier pays tribute to its greatest source of creativity: natural elements. And the house also strives to preserve them. Clearly riding the current organic and eco-friendly trend, Cartier presents its composition in a refillable bottle. This is therefore more economical while being more environmentally friendly. Similarly, lighter than its predecessors, it reduces its carbon footprint during manufacturing. Finally, it is presented in a cardboard box whose main raw material, wood, is grown in responsibly managed forests.
The Rivières Allégresse bottle, a nod to other Cartier fragrances
Finally, while this bottle is a new creation, it is reminiscent of several cases from the Cartier collection. It seems to blend the design of several of its predecessors into one. Its shape resembles in many respects that of the L'Envol de Cartier bottle from 2016, also tinted yellow. Its cap, for its part, is cut like a prism, just like the Carat fragrance from 2018. Incidentally, being sculpted like a diamond, it captures the light and recalls Cartier's prestigious jeweler past. It is also an echo of this fragrance's luminosity, making all the light's reflections shimmer across its cut glass facets. It is also a nod to the Art Deco tradition, greatly favored by the house.
As for size, the Rivières Allégresse de Cartier bottle exists only in a single 100 ml format.
