Pegasus

Pegasus was created in 2011 by Parfums de Marly, signed by perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani. The house offers it as an Eau de Parfum, in sizes of 2, 5, 75 and 125 ml.

Opening

Cypress opens on a fresh wood with camphoraceous accents, while bergamot brings a sweet, vivid fruit. Heliotrope, creamy and balsamic, evokes vanilla from the start; cumin slips in an animalic, sensual touch, close to sweat.

Heart

Lavender, floral and camphoraceous, retains a crisp freshness. Jasmine answers with a sweet warmth of wild temperament. Two faces of almond complete the tier: bitter almond, sweet, recalls cherry and hay, while almond turns powdery, soft and gourmand.

Base

Sandalwood gives a velvety, warm wood. Vanilla, sweet and lifted by a spicy touch, extends this warmth and echoes the heliotrope of the opening, whose creamy, balsamic character finds its continuation here.

Fougère and amber

The fougère character rests on lavender and cypress, whose aromatic, camphoraceous freshness recalls the lavender backbone of this family. The amber facet comes from vanilla, balsamic heliotrope and sandalwood, which bring warmth, sweetness and roundness to the base.

What the label declares

Two odorant components are declared: limonene, a terpene present in citrus zests such as bergamot, and linalool, a floral alcohol found notably in lavender and bergamot essences. BHT, also listed, is an antioxidant with no olfactory role.
