Parfums de Marly
Valero
Valero is a masculine extrait de parfum launched on September 10, 2025 by Parfums de Marly within the Les Extraits collection, alongside Carios and Eragon. A woody fougère inspired by the golden age of 18th century perfumery, its pyramid combines bergamot, citron and juniper berries in the top notes, Bourbon geranium, lavender, cypress and nutmeg in the heart, patchouli, sandalwood and ambrox in the base. Available in 100 ml.

Where to buy
Julien Sprecher, founder and artistic director of Parfums de Marly, describes Valero as an exploration of the structure of a woody fougère, driven by a desire for purity and transmission, specifying that he sought a simple but extremely structured composition: lavender, Bourbon geranium and cypress for the aromatic structure; patchouli and sandalwood for the base notes. The official description characterizes the fragrance's signature as discreet yet assertive, rooted in the great classics and turned toward the future.
The cap of the Valero bottle is adorned with a chevron pattern recalling the famous parquet floors of the Château de Marly, an architectural reference that fits within the historical coherence of the collection. As with Carios and Eragon, the bottle is crafted from crystalline glass engraved with a faceted 3D horse, and the reusable eco-designed box features a guilloché pattern inspired by the high-precision mechanical engraving of the 18th century, the period that serves as the shared source of inspiration for the entire Les Extraits collection.
