D by Diesel

D by Diesel, a fresh and original fragrance. Diesel is a house that was founded in 1978, in Italy, and has always had a deeply visionary spirit. Indeed, if Diesel is named as such, it is simply because it is a word that is easily pronounced in every language.

Where to buy

Diesel has therefore always been committed to addressing everyone, whether through its worn and comfortable jeans or through its fragrances. This is precisely why its latest fragrance was designed: D by Diesel. This unisex fragrance does not hesitate to blend genders, while unfolding on skin a scent that is as sweet as it is spicy.

D by Diesel, a fragrance in favor of freedom and comfort

D by Diesel is a fragrance that perfectly matches the Diesel universe. First of all, just like the house, it is a fragrance designed for everyone, regardless of generation, age, culture, or gender. Indeed, D by Diesel is a unisex fragrance, equally suited to men and women, adapting to every skin. Its purpose? To boost confidence, adapt, and leave an unforgettable sensation in its sillage. D by Diesel embodies the desire of free spirits to unite for a better future. What is more, its comfortable and adaptable character also echoes Diesel's iconic jeans.

D by Diesel, a blend of ginger, cottony lavender and vanilla

D by Diesel is a fragrance that has bite, while also being pleasant to wear on a hot summer day. Thus, it never becomes heady and manages to find the right balance between incisive spices and tenderness. With it, everything begins with a peppery, soapy breath of ginger. This aphrodisiac ingredient is then immediately softened by cotton flower blended with a more Mediterranean, sustainably sourced lavender. Finally, little by little, the whole gains in sensuality upon contact with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla. Here again, this is a sustainably sourced ingredient. Lastly, it should be noted that D by Diesel is an entirely vegan fragrance.

The unusual shape of the D by Diesel bottle

As for the bottle, D by Diesel does not go unnoticed and signals that it is a first for the house. Indeed, its bottle resembles no other. Moreover, it stands out for the shape of its glass. This is entirely asymmetrical. It thus seems to follow the movement of the hand, just as a comfortable pair of jeans moves with the body. The Diesel name is embossed prominently into the glass. Its transparency reveals a gray-colored juice, in perfect harmony with its chrome cap. Lastly, in full respect of the environment, this bottle and its cardboard packaging are made from recycled materials. Moreover, it is a refillable bottle.

Olfastory’s review

The story of the house of Diesel began in 1978, thanks to Renzo Rosso and Adriano Goldschmied. It was at the heart of Italy that these two highly creative personalities decided to establish a visionary house, intended for men and women alike, and advocating freedom of expression. Renowned for its worn jeans, Diesel now also stands out in other fields, starting with perfumery. However, its philosophy remains the same. Once again, in 2022, Diesel decided to address everyone and design a new fragrance, a symbol of emancipation and sharing: D by Diesel. Here is our review.
