Ôver The Top

Ôver The Top: the green water that crosses the finish line first A shot of adrenaline for Le Monde des Ô After celebrating citrus freshness in 1969, Lancôme reinvents its iconic saga with the 2025 triptych Le Monde des Ô. Placed between the relaxation of Ôff Now and the optimism of Ô Zenith, Ôver The Top embodies a rush of green energy: a fragrance that crosses the line, breathes deeply and makes the heart beat faster according to the house.

Composition: the green adrenaline of Ôver The Top

Carlos Benaïm designs Ôver The Top as a headlong race. The fragrance opens on an ultra-energizing citrus sprint, settles into a plateau of vibrant greenery, then heads toward a soft musky finish like a breath of victory. This three-part approach offers a constant contrast between crisp freshness, sun-kissed floralcy and crystalline cleanliness: skin breathes, the mind races, mood soars.

Notes in detail

1. The sprint: citrus & crisp greenery

From the first spray, a juicy pink grapefruit splashes across the senses. Its sparkling zest is reinforced by a sharp Italian citron, while a thread of Timut pepper adds a vibration simulating heartbeats after a running start. Alongside, green tomato leaf — faceted, vegetal, faintly sappy — brings a chlorophyll effect that instantly oxygenates the lungs: one feels as if biting into a bouquet garni still wet with dew.

2. The plateau: jasmine-rose bouquet in full sun

At the heart, jasmine grandiflorum from Domaine Lancôme unfolds its white petals, neither heady nor indolic; it vibrates under the light like a flower at noon. A touch of centifolia rose smooths the edges, bringing a fresh petal nuance rather than a made-up rose. At the center of this alliance, tomato leaf keeps pulsing, like the steady breathing of a runner, keeping the greenery alive and infusing the floralcy with an unprecedented vegetal energy.

3. The finish: crystalline musks & refined softness

In the base, a triad of white musks clings to skin; their silky cleanliness evokes an immaculate shirt after a post-workout shower. A light white cedar accent ensures the transition, while a touch discreetly warms the whole: the fragrance stays clean yet inhabited, as though skin naturally exhaled a healthy scent. Longevity reaches six to eight hours, remarkable for a fresh water structure and ideal for sport-office-afterwork use.

Naturality & responsible approach

Lancôme lists 90% ingredients of natural origin. Tomato foliage, usually discarded after harvest, is cold-distilled to recover the green absolute, reducing agricultural waste. The jasmine and rose batches come from Grasse, grown without synthetic pesticides and hand-picked at dawn. The alcohol comes from French beets, valorizing sugar industry residues, and the entire formula remains 100% vegan.

Discreet but present clean-skin sillage; perfect for the air-conditioned open-space or the subway.

Layering tips & moments of use

Green booster: spray a basil-mint aromatic water before Ôver The Top to amplify the greenery.
Solar glow: add a monoi body milk to accentuate the jasmine facet and give a vacation twist.
Night push: on a denim jacket, layer a musk-cedar mist to extend longevity without weighing down the freshness.
