N°1 de CHANEL L'Eau Rouge

L’Eau Rouge, L’Eau Revitalisante from the new N°1 de Chanel collection Chanel is one of the finest French beauty houses, and has shone within the international luxury scene for many years. Present alongside women for decades, Chanel has managed to embed a simple, refined elegance into its DNA, always demonstrating profound distinction.

In 2022, the house of Chanel decided to look back and pay tribute to its creator: Gabrielle Chanel. A woman of strong character, now regarded as one of the pioneers of French fashion, Coco Chanel left an indelible mark on history. It is therefore by drawing inspiration from her favorite flower that the house bearing her name decided to create N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge. This hybrid product between skincare and fragrance is based on the red camellia and captivates with its delicacy, all while offering its cosmetic benefits.

The camellia as a source of inspiration

To create N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge, the house of Chanel drew on the captivating power of the red camellia. Indeed, this flower is both fragrant and offers numerous benefits for the skin. It is therefore itself somewhat hybrid, exactly like N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge. Logically, this fragrance therefore contains a great deal of camellia flower. Here, it is more precisely a blend of camellia water and red camellia oil. Highly fragrant, this plant helps prevent and correct the appearance of the five signs of age. Moreover, to create the fragrance of N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge, Olivier Polge drew inspiration from its two olfactory facets: freshness and delicacy. Indeed, the camellia is a flower that is as sparkling as it is tender and soothing. These are precisely the elements found in the composition of N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge.

The olfactory pyramid of N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge

While N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge can be used perfectly well as a regular skincare product, it is also a product that can be worn on its own, like a traditional fragrance. In this sense, its olfactory pyramid is very elaborate, far more so than that of a standard cosmetic product. N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge opens with a very refreshing, fruity scent. Its top notes are composed of red fruits and citrus. Then, its heart gradually becomes more feminine. To create N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge, Olivier Polge relied on the star of women's perfumery: rose. The romanticism of its petals pairs with a more opulent jasmine. Incidentally, note that the rose-jasmine duo is a standard in Chanel fragrances. N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge therefore does not depart from the house's olfactory tradition. N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge is nonetheless brightened by a more sun-kissed, Mediterranean orange blossom. At its base, musk lends it a certain animalic quality. Its sensuality and longevity are softened with iris, for a final, more powdery and elegant breath.

N°1 de Chanel L’Eau Rouge is a fragrance composed of 97% ingredients of natural origin. Note that it also provides an instant refreshing effect on the skin.
