Miutine is an Eau de Parfum by Miu Miu composed by Dominique Ropion and launched in 2025, the house's first fragrance since its beauty license moved to L'Oréal. The juice takes up the architecture of the chypre — citrus, floral heart, oakmoss and patchouli — and diverts it with a Mara des Bois wild strawberry and a brown sugar accord.
One signed reading: in May 2026, Portia Turbo found Miutine very sweet, a candy strawberry unlike any real fruit, without the patchouli and oakmoss she had hoped for, and judged it made for another audience than her.
What critics say
Portia Turbo, Australian Perfume Junkies
On May 5, 2026, Portia Turbo reviewed Miutine from a decant bought from Surrender to Chance, in a post published on Undina’s blog. She loves Miu Miu’s bottles but warns that, to her mind, the house does not make fragrance for her; Dominique Ropion’s name still intrigued her.
The opening reminds her of a sugar-free fizzy drink, with the metallic aftertaste of some artificial sweeteners, and of a strawberry unlike any real fruit. She compares it to a strawberry version of Mugler’s Angel, in a diet edition.
She smells no gardenia. The heart and drydown strike her as very sweet; she had hoped for a deeper patchouli and the strangeness of oakmoss, and finds only more bakery confection, a strawberry-glazed doughnut.
She imagines it will delight those who want to smell this way, but finds in it a very childish femininity, close to a cheap children’s lip gloss.
