Manifesto L'Elixir

Manifesto l’Élixir, burning with mystery. It was in 1961, after having worked for Christian Lacroix, that Yves Saint Laurent founded his eponymous fashion house. Very quickly, he became an ally of freedom of morals, of women, of the freedom to live

Released in 2012, Manifesto L'Elixir is an ultra-feminine, sensual and captivating fragrance. As the name of this fragrance suggests, Manifesto L'Elixir is a perfume conceived as the manifesto of femininity, as seen by Yves Saint Laurent. The Manifesto L'Elixir fragrance is intended for all passionate women, for all those who believe that nothing is achieved without passion, without convictions. As the house of Yves Saint Laurent states, the Manifesto woman has an attitude, a burst of laughter, a tone of voice, a presence, but above all, femininity…

A duo of brilliant perfumers behind the composition of Manifesto L'Elixir

Manifesto L'Elixir is a fragrance that is at once green, tangy and swept away by an immense bouquet of white flowers. To create this ode to femininity, Yves Saint Laurent called on two of the most talented perfumers of their generation, namely Anne Flipo and Loc Dong. Anne Flipo is currently much sought after and recognized for her incredible talent. Whether modern, classic, timeless or classic, Anne Flipo likes her fragrances to be memorable… And this is indeed the case! Since 2004, Anne Flipo has worked at IFF (International Flavors and Fragrances) and has already signed major best-sellers, such as La Vie est Belle by Lancôme or Lady Million Privé by Paco Rabanne. Loc Dong also works at IFF. A great perfumer, Loc Dong has an extraordinary temperament, perhaps because he fled war-torn Vietnam at the age of 11. Loc Dong creates fragrances in his own image, both simple and serious. He is also responsible for some very beautiful fragrances, notably Euphoria by Calvin Klein and Acqua Di Gioia by Armani.

Manifesto L'Elixir and its heart scented with white flowers

Manifesto L'Elixir is therefore a very feminine fragrance that highlights the boldness and beauty of all women. Manifesto L'Elixir opens on an accord of green notes combined with blackcurrant buds. The heart is a large armful of white flowers composed of jasmine and lily of the valley. Jasmine is one of the star flowers of perfumery, alongside rose. The most widely used variety is sambac jasmine. India and Egypt are the largest jasmine-producing countries. To obtain one kilo of jasmine absolute, 700 kg of flowers and more than 2000 hours of picking are required! Jasmine gives off luminous, floral, but also opulent, green and powdery tonalities. Finally, the base of Manifesto L'Elixir leaves a sillage that is both oriental and sensual, combining vanilla, cedar, sandalwood and tonka bean. Nevertheless, the composition of Manifesto L'Elixir would not be itself without the elegance of its bottle. Indeed, the juice of Manifesto L'Elixir is set within a prism that successfully captures the light. The bottle resembles a talisman fitted with a belt conceived like a piece of jewelry… A masterpiece in its purest form…
