Yves Saint Laurent launched Manifesto L’Élixir in 2013, the first variation on Manifesto, more intense and more vanilla-rich. The house describes an oriental floral: bergamot and mandarin on top, tuberose, jasmine sambac and heliotrope in the heart, and a base of vanilla, cashmeran and ambroxan, in Manifesto’s belted silhouette dressed in amethyst.

Vanilla, cashmeran, ambroxan
The base extends this note with vanilla bean, cashmeran, a musky wood the house also calls cashmere wood, and ambroxan, a molecule with an ambergris scent. Osmoz sees it as a more intense, more vanilla-rich version of Manifesto.
What is left out
Siboney2046 of the blog Diario di un’ex stacanovista adds a green accord on top and tonka bean in the base, two notes the house’s description does not include. The grapefruit, coconut, tiare flower and frangipani sometimes associated with the fragrance are not there either.
