Light Blue was launched by Dolce & Gabbana in 2001. Olivier Cresp composed it with Sicily in mind: Sicilian lemon and bellflower, Granny Smith apple, bamboo, jasmine and rose, over a base of cedarwood, amber and musk. Its films shot in Capri, with David Gandy and, in 2025, Theo James, have made it one of the house’s great successes.

The Light Blue bottle is made of frosted glass, topped with a blue stopper. The house says it was inspired by the traditional majolica of the Amalfi Coast, and its blue refers to the island of Capri.
For the fragrance’s twenty-fifth anniversary, in 2025, the bottle was redesigned: satin glass with soft, sinuous lines, silver finishes, and an enameled blue cap adorned with the DG monogram. The eau de toilette also became refillable.
