In order to create a fragrance as joyful as it is colorful, the Kenzo brand chose Daniela Andrier. While the latter is known for having composed most of the Prada perfumes, Daniela Andrier has also worked with other brands. Both sensitive and delicate, Daniela Andrier puts her whole soul into her perfumes. Daniela Andrier began her career as an intern at Chanel, thanks to the help of Jacques Polge. She then joined the Givaudan school. She still works at Givaudan, and married its director, Gilles Andrier. When asked what her artistic signature is, she states that she likes to weave memory through a perfume, the past, the present, the future... We owe to Daniela Andrier magnificent fragrances such as Les Infusions de Prada, Prada Candy and also Angélique Noire by Guerlain.
Le Monde est Beau, a floral/green fragrant flight
Radiant like a spring sun, Le Monde est Beau is considered a floral/green fragrance. Le Monde est Beau opens with the floral tonality of magnolia combined with the fruity tonalities of blackcurrant and mandarin as well as the aromatic touch of basil. Basil is an aromatic plant. It was the Egyptians who first had the idea of cultivating basil, more than 4000 years ago. While basil has its place in cuisines around the world, it is also associated with numerous beliefs. Basil essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and flowering tips. In perfumery, basil gives off green, herbaceous and anise-like odors. The heart of Le Monde est Beau is floral and combines Japanese cherry blossom with jasmine and honeysuckle for another floral/green association. In antiquity, Japanese farmers traditionally believed that in spring, the gods of the fields settled in the cherry trees blossoming across the mountains. They therefore established a day of rest so they could go beneath the cherry trees to honor and pray to the gods of the fields, in order to favor the coming harvests... The scent of cherry blossom is intense, at once sweet and bitter. Finally, the base of Le Monde est Beau is composed of cedarwood, vetyrisia (a blend of vetiver and iris), tonka bean and sandalwood. The bottle, designed by Serge Mansau, takes the shape of a pebble. Daniela Andrier states that a flower landed on a pebble, there it bloomed and gave back in return a rare, luminous and essential fragrance.
