La Nuit de l’Homme: the YSL fragrance that plays with light to captivate. How does one reinterpret a perfumery bestseller to make it darker and more powerful? By offering it the night and its hazy, sensual mysteries. La Nuit de l’Homme, released in 2009, delivers a juice that is more powerful and suave than its illustrious predecessor, L’Homme, from 2006.
Bottle in a gradient of blacks, hexagonal cap, offered in 40, 60 and 100 ml, and reprised in red for the later Eau de Parfum.
Yves Saint Laurent presents the bottle as that of the YSL man, dressed in a dark gradient that plays with several shades of black. At launch, the specialized press described it as dark and powerful, foreshadowing the materials it contains.
The cap is hexagonal in shape. A retailer's marketing text reads into it a reference to the multiple facets of L’Homme according to Yves Saint Laurent.
Three sizes were offered at launch: 40, 60 and 100 milliliters of Eau de Toilette, accompanied by a scented deodorant within the collection.
The house itself documents an internal lineage: the bottle of La Nuit de L'Homme is reprised, in a red version, for the later Eau de Parfum.
