Lili Fantasy

Lili Fantasy, an eau de parfum by Juliette Has a Gun, came out in the fall of 2021; Romano Ricci, who launched the brand, signs it. It belongs among the ambery florals: a bubblegum accord at the top, jasmine absolute and tuberose absolute at the center, an ambery accord and Ambroxan at the base, under a proudly gourmand facet.

The house breaks Lili Fantasy down into three stages: a bubblegum accord at the top; jasmine absolute and tuberose absolute at the center; an ambery accord and Ambroxan at the base.

What the house declares

It announces white flowers and ambery notes, lifted by a light gourmand bubblegum facet. It singles out bubblegum and jasmine as key notes and describes the perfume as floral, gourmand and sweet.

No natural material gives off the smell of bubblegum: it is an accord, which the house places alone at the opening, ahead of the two white-flower absolutes.

What the label declares

Behind the alcohol, water and fragrance, the ingredient list first names benzyl salicylate and three ultraviolet filters: ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane.

Further on it cites benzyl alcohol, hydroxycitronellal, geraniol, cinnamyl alcohol, eugenol, citric acid, linalool, amyl cinnamal and an antioxidant, BHT.

What remains outside the declared accord

Hydroxycitronellal, with its lily-of-the-valley smell, and benzyl salicylate readily accompany bouquets of white flowers; eugenol and cinnamyl alcohol add a warm, spicy nuance.

Jasmine, tuberose and Ambroxan do not appear by name in the list, which details only the allergens that must be declared: they hide under the word fragrance, like the bubblegum accord.
