Infusion d'Iris

The first perfume in the series of Prada's Infusions, Infusion d’Iris was the very first fragrance to open the way for Prada's Collection des Infusions. Created in 2007 by the talented perfumer Daniela Andrier, it is a fragrance that defies expectations.

Infusion d'Iris by Prada is a fragrance that came into being in 2007. Yet no one could truly assign an age to this composition. Indeed, this juice seems to spring straight from an old grimoire, while casting a very forward-looking eye on the world. Intended equally for men and for women, it champions inclusivity, a very contemporary value, while also evoking the eaux de Cologne of days gone by. Contemporary and understated, it thus draws on ancestral craftsmanship. Yet it is precisely this blend of genders and eras that is also found on its bottle. Let us decode together the main elements of its bottle.

The bottle of Infusion d’Iris, a vessel beyond eras and genders

Infusion d’Iris by Prada is a fragrance intended equally for men and for women. This, moreover, gives it an impressive modernity. A subtle blend of power, freshness, light and sensuality, it combines all these elements both olfactorily and visually. Thus, no one could say precisely in which year its bottle was designed, nor even whether it is intended more for women or for men. In reality, this is a deliberate choice by the house of Prada, wishing to give its fragrance a timeless and universal quality. More specifically, it is a rectangular bottle, made of heavy, thick glass. Perfectly transparent, it is topped with a small cylindrical cap, while bearing the Prada name on its front face, on a silver-toned plate.

The presence of Prada's original crest

Prada's silver-toned plate refers to the brand's history. Indeed, it draws on the house's most important institutional codes. It is adorned with Prada's original crest, created in 1913 by Miuccia Prada's grandfather. It was indeed on that date that he founded his house in Milan, in one of the city's most beautiful buildings. At the time, he sold exclusively luxury travel accessories. Since then, Prada has built itself into a veritable empire. Yet it does not forget its origins, and this can be seen on the bottle of Infusion d’Iris, which bears the house's emblematic House of Savoy knots.

Infusion d’Iris relies on pastel, unisex colors

In terms of color, to give this fragrance a more unisex reach, Prada clearly moved away from the traditional shades assigned to women or men. Here, it is rather a matter of pastel tones. A light, spring-like green thus appears at the base of the glass, reflecting through its juice with lightness. This lends the whole an unmistakable sense of freshness. This colored nuance is also echoed on the cap, giving this bottle a perfect harmony.
The bottle of Infusion d’Iris by Prada comes in two different variations. It is available in 50 ml or 100 ml spray bottles.
