Hypnôse, launched by Lancôme in 2005, is the house’s fiftieth fragrance. Annick Menardo and Thierry Wasser composed a woody oriental in which passionflower and bergamot open onto jasmine, before a base of vanilla and vetiver inherited from Magie. Its twisted bottle reinterprets that of Magie, from 1950; Daria Werbowy is its face.

The Hypnôse bottle takes up that of Magie, a fragrance created by Lancôme in 1950: the house presents it as a feminine, modern reinterpretation of that design, whose curves and facets make the light dance. Victoria Frolova describes it as sinuous, Osmoz as twisted.
Lancôme says it drew on the image of Japanese women draped in their kimonos: its slender silhouette gradually tightens into a crystalline spiral. Osmoz mentions its amethyst-blue reflections.
