With the Hypnose fragrance, let yourself be bewitched. The Lancôme house was born, in 1935, from the sole will of one man, Armand Petitjean. He was determined to create products of great quality to enhance and glorify women.
Lancôme Hypnose, an unprecedented fragrant composition. After Trésor, the Lancôme house chose to celebrate its seventieth anniversary by offering the magnificent and highly original Hypnôse. For Hypnose, the venerable house asked two great talented perfumers, Annick Menardo and Thierry Wasser, to create a composition built around burning oriental notes, without forgetting the delicate emblematic flowers found in every Lancôme fragrance. Hypnose has thus been casting its timeless spell for a long time.

Hypnose or the magic of a burning gourmand by Thierry Wasser and Annick Menardo
The history of the Lancôme house has never ceased to be written with flowers and romantic perfumes in which every woman can recognize herself. Thus, the Lancôme house, since its founding by Armand Petitjean, has continued to accumulate successes, the greatest of which to date is certainly the very latest perfume released, La Vie est belle, of course! Nevertheless, despite the iconic La Vie est belle and its smile that leaves no one indifferent, Hypnose also made a name for itself for its oriental beauty, as floral as it is original.
It is true that by turning to Annick Menardo and Thierry Wasser, Lancôme had little chance of not meeting with success with Hypnôse! The two perfumers are makers of olfactory miracles but also incredible aesthetes with boundless imagination. Annick Menardo draws inspiration from art to design perfumes like paintings, whereas Thierry Wasser is a creator of emotions, of the colors of the soul, much more than a chemist. He does not hesitate to say: Do you ask a painter to know the chemical nature of the pigments he mixes for his palette? Who cares… You have to make color, scents!
Thus, these two enthusiasts composed for Hypnose singular accords of fruity, gourmand woods that, while in keeping with the spirit of the times, seek to resemble no one. This is certainly one of the finest reasons behind the secret of the eternal magic of this incredible Hypnose.
The very first vanilla and vetiver accord for the sun-kissed oriental Hypnose by Lancôme
Hypnôse by Lancôme is a warm, oriental perfume that acts like a love potion, blending 3 essential ingredients: passiflora, vanilla absolute, and vetiver. Lancôme for Guerlain.
Moreover, if we can sketch an olfactory pyramid for Hypnôse, it remains only very figurative, since the perfumer now attached to Guerlain, Thierry Wasser, dislikes speaking of a hierarchy of scents and prefers instead to speak of accords that intertwine and unravel over time.
It would thus seem that Hypnose opens with notes of passion fruit, symbolized by the admirable and easily recognizable scent of passiflora. Then jasmine and sun-kissed notes come to perfume the heart, wrapping themselves in vanilla absolute with its gourmand and equally luminous charms. Finally, vetiver settles in depth as if to better captivate its prey, its mysterious shadow looming over the lights of the opening and heart of Hypnose, creating contrast and playing with light and shadow.
