Hypnôse Homme

A Parisian perfumer, the latter had wished for a name that rhymed with “Place Vendôme”. Synonymous with beauty, luxury and refinement, Lancôme is behind very famous perfumes such as Magnifique, Climat, Magie Noire, La vie est Belle and Ô de Lancôme. In 2005, Lancôme unveiled Hypnôse, an utterly bewitching and captivating nectar. Two years later, the house presented its alter ego Hypnôse pour Homme, an oriental fragrance that has nothing to envy in the feminine version.

Masculine sensuality according to Lancôme

It is true that Lancôme is primarily devoted to women. The house likes to enhance their beauty and their qualities. With Hypnôse Homme, Lancôme decided to turn its attention to men and their sensuality. Like Hypnôse Femme, Hypnôse Homme is a captivating fragrance that bewitches anyone who comes near it. Hypnôse Homme is a virile essence that showcases lavender from Provence. This scent recalls that of the shaving soap once enjoyed at the barber's. Hypnôse Homme is a mysterious and powerful essence, one that highlights the sensuality of a man who loves to please. To create this small olfactory gem, Maurice Roucel had the idea of pairing the freshness of lavender with warm, amber tones.

The sensual notes of Hypnôse Homme

Hypnôse Homme is a bold composition, notably through its use of lavender. This raw material is complex, for at times it can display fresh, aromatic tones, and at others, much warmer ones. On its own, lavender can evoke leather, cut grass or even licorice. Hypnôse Homme is therefore a highly faceted fragrance that reveals multiple aspects. Hypnôse Homme opens with green, spicy notes, through the judicious pairing of bergamot, mint, cardamom and mandarin. The aromatic heart is largely dominated by lavender with green, spicy and almond-like facets. The base leaves a delightful amber, woody and musky sillage around Indonesian patchouli. The bottle takes up the codes of the feminine version. Sensually twisted, the bottle perfectly combines clean lines with opulent volumes. Half amber, half gold, the masculine nectar shines brilliantly.

Two years after the success of Hypnôse, Lancôme presented its masculine alter ego Hypnôse Homme.
