The scented world of Hugo, free, young and urban
Since the brand's first fragrance in 1995, Hugo Boss has brought a breath of modernity and freedom. Each fragrance expresses not only freedom, but also urban youth. Hugo Boss is the fragrance of a dynamic businessman who moves in an urban world. Bold, the house of Hugo Boss likes to innovate while remaining contemporary. Hugo Iced truly lives up to its name here, as it gives off an intense, biting freshness. The ingredients were carefully chosen to deliver the maximum of a surprisingly young and free freshness!
Hugo Iced, an aromatic and woody freshness
Hugo Iced opens on the freshness of peppermint. The latter is a hybrid resulting from the crossing of two species of mint (water mint and peppermint).
Peppermint owes its Latin name, piperita, to its strongly peppery scent. According to legend, the name mentha is linked to Greek mythology. Minthe was a nymph whom the goddess Proserpine, daughter of Zeus and Demeter, transformed out of jealousy into a flower with a peppery scent. Peppermint has long been used for its medicinal properties. In perfumery, peppermint essence is obtained by steam distillation of the dried flowering plants. It gives off ultra-fresh tones, but also spicy and herbaceous ones. Then, the heart of Hugo Iced combines bitter orange and wild tea for a most intense aromatic effect.
Finally, the base of Hugo Iced blends vetiver and juniper, for an ultra-woody base. Originally from the Indian subcontinent, vetiver thrives in tropical areas. Vetiver is a plant that resembles a prairie grass and can grow up to 1.50 m tall. Vetiver was originally used for its medicinal properties. Indians used to call it “the oil of tranquility.” Today, Haiti produces 50% of the world's vetiver resources. In perfumery, vetiver was originally used only in men's compositions. It now holds a place throughout niche perfumery. Vetiver gives off woody, earthy, smoky and tenacious scents. The bottle resembles the iconic Hugo Boss flask. However, it is here covered in a silver metallic coating that offers an ultimate touch of elegance.
