For Her l'Absolu opens with a highly floral, sun-kissed accord composed of tuberose and jasmine absolute. Originally from Mexico, tuberose was introduced to Grasse in the seventeenth century. Today, it is mainly grown in India. The scent of tuberose is bewitching, exotic, and evokes the oriental dreams of the 1001 Nights. Tuberose is known for its aphrodisiac qualities and feminine sensuality. This is why tuberose is highly prized by noses. The absolute is obtained through extraction with volatile solvents. Tuberose gives off tones that are at once jasmine-like, honeyed, sweet, sensual and deeply floral.
