Eau Suave

Although, like every juice from Parfum d'Empire, this one is unisex, it showcases one of the most celebrated flowers in perfumery: the rose. Used since time immemorial to establish the elegance of whoever wears it, this queen of flowers is here revealed in its sharpest aspect. It nonetheless remains charming, at once surprising and playful.

The refined inspiration of Parfum d'Empire

Each creation from the Parfum d'Empire house aims to transport the wearer to a very particular place. It was precisely at the Château de La Malmaison that Marc-Antoine Corticchiato found the inspiration to create his perfume Eau Suave. This now-famous site first appeared in texts in 1244, under the name Mala Domus. Then, this manor house was mentioned for the very first time under the name La Malmaison in the 14th century. Finally, in 1799, it was sold to Joséphine Bonaparte, who became the estate's most famous owner. Moreover, this small château was, in the early 19th century, the seat of the French government, a place where ministers and the consulate frequently gathered. Today, it is a peaceful site open to visitors, one in which Marc-Antoine Corticchiato was able to let his creativity and imagination run free.

The floral spirit of the Château de La Malmaison

If this place inspired the creator, it is above all because Empress Joséphine, a passionate botanist, had had magnificent gardens planted there. She developed an extraordinary collection of roses within immense greenhouses. Among them, she grew three varieties created specially in her honor: the Rose Joséphine, the Rose Pourpre, and the Rose de Vénus. It is precisely this trio of incisive facets that is found in Eau Suave. This perfume reveals a fruity rose with surprising accents of raspberry, peach, and apricot. The result is thus utterly velvety, accentuated by a spicier, more sensual rose. This is notably revealed through an addition of coriander, saffron, and pepper. Finally, tea roses bring more lightness to this composition. The whole is nonetheless underpinned by a darker, chypre sillage. The latter contains, among other things, oakmoss, patchouli, white musk, and Bourbon vanilla. In short, Eau Suave ends in a carnal, concentrated finish as tender as a caress.
