Fuel For Life Elle

Fuel for Life pour Elle: seduction in denim fishnet stockings from Diesel. If Fuel for Life for men and Fuel for Life for women are not Diesel's first fragrance releases, they are in any case the first to enjoy an extraordinary communication campaign built around the flagship values of the famous jeans brand.

Released in 2007, Fuel for Life is one of Diesel's great successes. Launched as a duo with its feminine counterpart, Fuel for Life marks Diesel's return to the forefront. Fuel for Life pour Homme is portrayed as an ultra-sensual elixir brimming with virility. Energetic, the Fuel for Life fragrance is intended for men who feel alive and free. The Fuel for Life man is therefore independent, charismatic and follows his urges as well as his desires. A magnificent composition.

Fuel for Life, a concentrate of happiness signed Annick Menardo and Jacques Cavallier

In order to offer its fans an essence filled with masculinity, the Diesel brand chose a highly talented duo, namely Annick Menardo and Jacques Cavallier. Born in Cannes, Annick Menardo was drawn from a very young age to floral and marine scents. She managed to enter ISIPCA, the prestigious perfumery school, after which she worked for the company Créations Aromatiques (now Symrise), before joining Firmenich. Considered an avant-garde perfumer, Annick Menardo is above all passionate about her craft. She is behind magnificent fragrances such as Le Premier Parfum by Lolita Lempicka or Dance with Repetto by Repetto. Jacques Cavallier was born in Grasse, son and grandson of perfumers. Highly talented and daring, Jacques Cavallier has been the in-house perfumer for Louis Vuitton since 2012. Jacques Cavallier has created numerous successes, among them Cinéma by Yves Saint Laurent and Classique by Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Fuel for Life, virile and highly seductive notes

This antidote to dullness opens in a surprising way by combining notes of grapefruit with raspberry and star anise. A variety of anise, star anise is also called Chinese badiane. The fruit of the Chinese star anise tree, star anise forms an 8-pointed star, hence its name. The fruits are picked green and dried in the sun before taking on a reddish-brown color. In perfumery, star anise is obtained by distilling the fruit's seeds. It gives off tonalities that are herbaceous, aromatic and syrupy all at once. Then, the heart of Fuel for Life is composed of lavender and heliotrope, leaving behind a resolutely masculine sillage. Heliotrope is a plant whose leaves always turn toward the sun. Also called “ladies' flower,” heliotrope originates from Peru. In perfumery, heliotrope offers a highly fragrant scent, but also presents sweet, vanilla-like and balsamic tonalities. Finally, the base is both musky and woody, combining sandalwood, coumarin, woody notes and immortelle. The Fuel for Life bottle takes the shape of a flask, inspired by vintage flat, oval flasks. This same bottle is also covered with a retro burlap sleeve where the name of the fragrance appears as if embedded in the fabric. Finally, the cap opens and closes by means of a weathered leather strap, adding one final touch of virility.
