Flowerbomb Extreme Eau de Parfum Intense

Flowerbomb Extreme: the identity card of the explosive bouquet, 2025 version. Genesis and creative vision. The floral explosion pushed to its paroxysm. Twenty years after the launch of the legendary Flowerbomb, Viktor & Rolf rewrite their floral manifesto with Flowerbomb Extreme Eau de Parfum, revealed in early 2025. Conceived as the ultimate detonation of the flower bomb, this new interpretation intensifies the gourmand sensuality by injecting a raspberry-tea accord that blows up the original composition. The Dutch designers entrusted the score to the historic quartet Domitille Michalon-Bertier, Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaïm and Dominique Ropion, already the authors of the original juice, in order to preserve the DNA while elevating the signature toward a creamy-oriental voluptuousness.

Flowerbomb Extreme: the jewel-grenade that makes the night burst. An emblematic silhouette born in 2005. The metaphor of the floral detonation. It is impossible to speak of Flowerbomb without evoking its polygonal bottle shaped like a crystal grenade. Originally designed by the Maison Pochet studio according to the Slow Explosion brief, this twelve-facet block conveys the idea of a bomb that concentrates the optimism of flowers before releasing it on skin. Fifteen years later, the Extreme version keeps this DNA: same proportions, same sharply cut edges to reflect light like a diamond. The only major change: the color.

A metallic, glittery magenta lacquer

To highlight the new raspberry-tea facet, Viktor&Rolf swap the original powdery pink for a vibrant magenta. The shade is achieved through two layers: first a pearly silver varnish deposited under vacuum, then a transparent lacquer infused with raspberry micro-glitter. Under a spotlight, each facet breaks down the light and casts purple glints across the surface — a visual play reminiscent of the confetti rain seen in the advertising campaign.

Pin-shaped cap: the couture aesthetic of safety

From aged bronze to polished silver

The cylindrical cap, originally bronze-colored, here takes on an ultra-polished silver chrome finish. It recalls the safety pin of a grenade, but in a jeweled version, at once subversive and luxurious. Around the neck, the metal ring still bears the Viktor&Rolf seal stamped in a black wax capsule: a nod to the wax seals once used to authenticate fashion manuscripts.

Ergonomics and spray precision

Beneath the pin, a high-precision spray delivers an 80-micron mist: ideal for an intense juice. The dip tube, nearly invisible, lets the magenta reign supreme within the glass — a detail that reinforces the sense of a collector's object crafted like a gemstone rather than a mere container.

Eco-design: when the icon becomes responsible

Lighter glass and increased PCR percentage

Although the silhouette appears massive, the 2025 version incorporates 15 percent post-consumer recycled glass and a glass weight reduced by about 10 g on the 50 ml size. This structural optimization cuts the carbon footprint by 8 percent without sacrificing resistance to breakage. The lacquer is formulated with water and mineral pigments, free of loose microplastics, in order to avoid any release of glitter into recycling streams.

Embossed origami box and cardboard cushioning

The outer box reprises the diamond-shaped origami pattern dear to Viktor&Rolf, this time printed on FSC-certified 350 g/m² cardboard dyed magenta. Thanks to a molded cellulose cushioning system, the house has eliminated the traditional plastic insert, limiting materials to three: glass, metal, paper. The unboxing experience remains luxurious: a puffed black tissue paper protects the grenade and heightens the contrast with the electric pink within.

Visual symbolism: the “More is More” manifesto

A color that speaks of gourmand indulgence and power

Magenta, an intermediate shade between passionate red and mystical purple, evokes both the fruity side of raspberry and the oriental depth of vanilla-patchouli. In hand, the bottle becomes a talisman: each facet embodies an imaginary petal, ready to burst into an invisible flower when the trigger is pressed.

An instagrammable object that captivates Generation Z

On TikTok, the hashtag #FlowerbombExtreme has already amassed millions of views: creators use the bottle as a prism, placing an LED light behind it to project polygonal shadows onto walls. In this staging, the grenade becomes a disco ball — an exact reflection of the fragrance's hedonistic promise.
