Created in 1987 by Jacques Courtin-Clarins, Eau Dynamisante is the first treatment fragrance: a scent of citrus and aromatics that combines essential oils and plant extracts. Jean-François Latty signed the formula. Its sweet and bitter oranges, mandarin and petitgrain rest on lavandin, eucalyptus, tarragon, nutmeg and patchouli.
Persolaise sees in it one of the best citrus chypres on the market; Tatousenti, a good-mood fragrance, a cousin of Eau Sauvage, supported by patchouli.
Olfastory’s review
Persolaise, August 2012
For Eau Dynamisante’s twenty-fifth anniversary, Persolaise praises a juice that remains, beyond marketing gimmicks, one of the best citrus chypres on the market, perfectly balanced between mandarin, bergamot, petitgrain and patchouli.
In his view it never fails to lift the spirits and never outstays its welcome. In 2024, replying to a reader who likens it to Eau Sauvage, he says he loves the Clarins but finds it less sparkling than the Dior.
Tatousenti, March 2017
For its thirtieth anniversary, the blog Tatousenti describes a fragrance that smells of happiness and good humor, a cousin of Eau Sauvage without resembling it. More than a fresh cologne, it sees it supported by woody notes such as patchouli, and ranks it among chypres.
