Eau Dynamisante

Clarins describes a fresh citrus fragrance built on essential oils. Wikiparfum classifies it among citrus scents; Persolaise sees in it one of the best citrus chypres on the market, and Tatousenti a fragrance supported by woody notes.

Sweet and bitter oranges, mandarin and petitgrain open the fragrance. The label confirms the place of citrus: bitter orange peel oil and lemon peel oil rank among the first ingredients on the list.

Heart

Lavandin, eucalyptus, tarragon and nutmeg form the heart, which the house pairs with wafts of patchouli to give it its tonic character. These aromatic plants give it its herbal freshness.

Base

Patchouli, which the house pairs with the heart notes, is placed in the base. Persolaise sums up the whole as a perfect balance of mandarin, bergamot, petitgrain and patchouli.

What stays out

Several older descriptions credit it with rosemary, bergamot, lemon, coriander, carnation or oakmoss: the house’s current presentation does not name them. Lemon oil does, however, appear on the label.

What the label declares

Alcohol, water and fragrance open the ingredient list, along with glycerin and aloe vera leaf juice. It names bitter orange, lemon, lavender, patchouli and eucalyptus oils, and extracts of horse chestnut, lemon thyme and ginseng.

The allergens to be declared include limonene, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, citral, coumarin, eugenol and geraniol. The formula also contains an antioxidant, camphor and two preservatives, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate.
