Dune pour Homme was released in 1997, six years after the feminine Dune, on a fig leaf that Dior gives as top note. Persolaise hears in it a quiet triumph, a transition between the massive masculines of the 1980s and the Dior Homme of 2005. The fragrance is among the thirteen Dioriginals restored by Francis Kurkdjian, on sale October 1, 2026.

Dune pour Homme is sold as Eau de Toilette, in two sizes of 50 and 100 milliliters. The bottle designed for the 1997 launch has accompanied the fragrance since its origin and leaves shelves in fall 2026.
On October 1, 2026 the thirteen Dioriginals return in a shared bottle, the Ovale: clear glass, half-sphere cap, white cord. The design dates back to 1948 and is owed to Serge Heftler-Louiche, cofounder and first director of Parfums Christian Dior.
Town & Country describes these bottles as 1940s-inspired and notes what comes with them: a definitive replacement of the versions sold, not a parallel edition offered alongside them.
