Destin de Balmain

Published

The first prestige fragrance from Balmain Beauty, launched in 2026, Destin de Balmain is an eau de parfum by Quentin Bisch: ripe strawberry lifted with pink pepper, peony with lychee facets, a lily accord, and a base of creamy sandalwood, patchouli and Ambrexolide, in a refillable glass cube with a gold-striated cap.

Destin opens on a burst of ripe, naturally sourced strawberry, its color saturated like neon. Pink pepper sets its spicy bite against it, and the rosy peony reveals unexpected creamy lychee facets.

Strawberry, Lily and Sandalwood

Strawberry and pink pepper hold the top, lily the heart, sandalwood and patchouli the base. The lily, as an accord, deepens the floral character with a delicate green note, lifted by a vivid spice.

A creamy sandalwood accord and a soft patchouli make up the base, with a radiant woody effect. Ambrexolide, a brilliant musk that melts into the skin, anchors it in a sensual warmth.

What the Label Declares

The list begins with alcohol, fragrance and water, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, an ambery wood, and propylene glycol. Linalool, pinene, limonene and patchouli oil also rank among the first ingredients.

It also lists hydroxycitronellal, with its lily-of-the-valley tones, alpha-isomethyl ionone, floral and powdery, beta-caryophyllene, rose ketones and terpinolene. Three UV filters complete the formula: ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane.

Three colorants close the list: yellow 5 (CI 19140), red 4 (CI 14700) and violet 2 (CI 60730), the last one reserved for external use.
