It was in 2004 that the story of Armani Code began, perfectly echoing Armani fashion and following strict rules imposed by its creator. It was then a matter of simplicity of line, sobriety of color, selection of materials and perfection of detail.
Created in 2004, Armani Code quickly established itself as a must-have from the house. Indeed, it is considered the first Armani men's fragrance to enter the register of oriental juices, symbols of mystery and sensuality. Buoyed by men's enthusiasm for it, it has continued to evolve and transform with the seasons. Today, there are about ten variations on its scent. Moreover, the Armani Code range has just been enriched with a brand new fragrance. It is called Code Colonia. So, is it one fragrance too many, or a pleasant surprise? Here is some clarity on the matter

A more refined bottle than before
First of all, before even considering the scent of this new fragrance, let us start by taking a closer look at its bottle. It is immediately identifiable and shares the same silhouette as all the fragrances belonging to the Armani Code collection. Nevertheless, its glass seems to have been crafted with more delicacy than before. It shows more depth and thickness, which only enhances its refined quality. Likewise, Armani has here dared to use a blue gradient. It must be said that blue is a universal shade that tends to soothe. A color of infinity, sky and earth, it is synonymous with dreams. What is more, what better color to embody masculinity? The whole is finally topped with a shiny, opaque cap. This gives a real sense of modernity to the piece, much like its ribbed black neck.
The highly elaborate formula of Armani Code Colonia
Likewise, in terms of scent, Armani has embraced originality. Indeed, Armani Code Colonia is presented as a kind of aromatic fougère… Nothing too surprising so far! Moreover, fougère is one of the most widely used olfactory accords in men's perfumery. Yet Armani has taken on the challenge of completely reinterpreting it. The house offers here a highly elaborate composition combining multiple fragrant facets. Thus, Armani Code Colonia opens with a fresh citrus character. It combines bitter orange, mandarin, lemon and bergamot. The whole is also enriched by the spicy aspect of pink pepper. Plants such as orange blossom and heliotrope give this fragrance a more elegant, floral touch. Finally, the whole ends with a darker base of tonka bean. Likewise, sage reinforces its aromatic aspect. Despite its complex formula, the result is a very harmonious juice, the secret of which only Armani holds.
Armani enlists Chris Pine
Finally, to further enhance this fragrance, Armani decided to enlist the services of American actor Chris Pine. A charismatic and charming figure, he appears in a moment of true intimacy in an advertisement of undeniable sensuality. The actor seems to draw all his energy and natural elegance from the Code Colonia fragrance. He then casts one final glance toward the screen, full of determination. What is more, its glacial blue is reminiscent of the visual of this new bottle.
